Digital photo tips from the photography coach, Ron Mitchell.

In addition to landscape photography I love nature macro (close-up) photography. Here is a picture of a rose that I took recently with my Canon 6D Digital camera. In this shot I chose to focus on just the petals for a more dramatic effect. Having the sun behind me really brought out a translucent quality in the petals. Blurring, a common problem in this work was eliminated by my use of a tripod and the Mirror lock-up feature.

Technical specs: 100 MM Canon lens, 1/200 speed and daylight exposure was used
