Digital photo tips from the photography coach, Ron Mitchell.

Photo tip utilizing a beautiful Adirondack Picture   I was taking pictures in the Adirondack Mountains along the Ausable River near Whiteface Mountain when I came across this nature scene. A family in a red canoe caught my eye, so I started to think how to make the most of this photo opportunity. Realizing the canoe was the most important part of the image, I determined the rule of thirds was the best way to capture this picture. I composed the shot so the canoe was located a third over and third up on the right side of the image; like the game tic-tac-toe where the lines meet. (See lesson in 6-24-2009 ezine for more details.)

If you have some nice fall photos of the Adirondacks please let me know via the contact form or call me at 585-473-0624. I can show you how to add them to this site.

Have a great Autumn season.
