Enjoy your vacation in Saratoga Springs, NY. This lovely community is located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York not far from the state Capital of Albany. Here you have a variety of activities that you can do that will help you enjoy your vacation.

A wonderful venue for musical entertainment is the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). Here you can experience a variety of concerts and dance events. During the summer listen to classical music played by the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy the poetic movement of the New York City Ballet. A weekend in June, hear some great Jazz at the Saratoga Jazz Festival . Some of the fine jazz musicians who have played here were George Benson, The Rippingtons, Ray Charles, Norman Brown, Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea and many more.
Tour the beautiful Yadoo gardens. Go for a walk through one of the historic neighborhoods and see the beautiful architecture of the Saratoga Homes. A walk in this area is fine since this is considered one of the safest communities in the USA to walk in.

Walk through Congress park in the central part of town where the Statue of life is, a carousel and a quality museum are located.
Another great concert is the Caroline Street Jazz, Blues and Arts Festival.

The Spas are where you can soak away stress in one of their mineral baths. At these spas you can also receive relaxing massages, which can help you recharge your batteries. There are a variety of fine dining restaurants and sidewalk cafes to visit. Enjoy people watching which is one of the local's and vacationer's favorite activities. Have a "spot of coffee" while you listen to a live band at the longest continuously running coffee house in the country-Cafe Lena. Watch a play by a local Shakespeare company.

View the tapestry of nature's fall colors over the "foothills" of the Adirondack Mountains in September and October. Would you like to try out one of the top-notch golf courses in the area and challenge your golfing skills?

There are several museums to choose from which cover a variety of areas of interest including dance, horse racing, Automobiles, fossils and more.
Watch thoroughbred horse racing at the race track from July thru September. During the "Hats Off" weekend in July hear live music at the tracks during the day and downtown during the evenings. They have the racino if you are feeling lucky. The annual Travers Festival in August includes fun events, which help raise funds for charity. In August see the big race, the Travers Stakes. This is when the top three year olds compete.
Learn more about the important historical battle, The Battle of Saratoga which occurred during the American Revolutionary War in 1777, by walking the battlefields in the area.
After viewing some of these attractions, you can rest in some fine lodgings and in your home-away-home NY bed and breakfasts during one of your vacations in the Adirondacks region.
Enjoy your time on your Saratoga New York vacation and do come again.
