Petrified Sea Gardens Petrified Sea Gardens is a beautiful park containing almost an acre of exposed stromatolite fossils, once part of an ocean-reef 500 million-years-ago. The park has about a mile of trails, featured are a Native American Medicine Wheel, a labyrinth, "Standing stones," unusual rock formations left by the glaciers and a picnic area beneath the 300 year old "Iroquois Pine" tree.
