Rochester Jazz Festival
The 2010 Rochester Jazz Festival will go from June 11 thru June 19, 2010. Here's part of the line-up. Gladys Knight plays June 11, 2010 at 8 PM at the Eastman Theater Keb Mo June 12th 8 PM Eastman Theater Herbie Hancock June 15th at 8 PM John Pizzarelli w/ the Woody Herman Orchestra June 16th 8 PM Eastman Theater Bernie Williams, the former New York Yankees teammate plays June 17th. The great Guitarist, Jeff Beck's 8PM show on June 18th has sold out so a 11PM show has been added. The Rochester Jazz Festival is a yearly event. In 2006 the Fifth Annual Rochester International Jazz Festival opened on June 9th, 2006 with Woody Allen and his New Orleans jazz band who did a benefit concert for the New Orleans Musicians hurricane Relief Fund. McCoy Tyner, Wayne Shorter Quartet, Etta James, Charlie Hunter trio, Byron Stripling, Susan Tedeschi, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Previous concert headliners included George Benson and Chris Botti.
