The Village of Lake Placid NY is in the heart of the High Peaks by beautiful Mirror Lake in the magnificent Adirondack Mountains of New York State. It's just hours from 2 major international cities: New York City and Montreal. It’s a wonderful place to spend your holiday vacation. The crystal lake and majestic mountains around it are amazingly beautiful. You can stay at one of the fine lodging accommodations in the area. One of the things this village is famous for was that it held the 1932 and 1980 Olympics sports events is where athletes from all over the world, competed. Visitors can enjoy a variety of sports here. You can experience yearly world class sporting events like Ironman, which is held in July. Do you enjoy winter downhill skiing? Try some Alpine skiing at their world class Olympic facility. One activity you can enjoy in the spring and summer is golfing.
