Enjoy fine Adirondacks lodging

If you’re heading to Northern NY, you’ll find that Adirondacks lodging options are many and varied and there are certainly accommodations in this region of New York State to fit a variety of budgets and preferences. The beautiful Adirondack Mountains attract visitors from all walks of life, from families on a winter skiing vacation to couples who come to enjoy golfing holidays, to others that simply want to take pleasure in a relaxing break in this pristine part of upstate New York. The region strives to meet all these different needs.

As you search a list of Adirondack hotels and motels, you’ll find that they come in all shapes and sizes. Many are open year round and provide a wealth of on site activities for visitors to enjoy. Others are located in the middle of town, close to restaurants and attractions, including many of the area’s interesting and educational museums and other historic sites.

Lake Placid

You’ll find that some of the best places to stay are in Lake Placid in the High Peaks region of this vicinity. Lake Placid lodging includes resorts, B&Bs, hotels, and more. Chosen twice to host the Winter Olympics, Lake Placid welcomes those who love winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, sledding, and more, but is also pleasant during the spring, summer, and fall seasons, when the weather is pleasant with mild temperatures and low humidity. Adirondacks lodging in Lake Placid is available in a variety of price ranges and many of the favorites fill up quickly, especially in peak season, so advanced reservations are often suggested.

Lake George

Lake George, in the Southern Adirondacks of NY, is a lovely little town whose centerpiece is its beautiful lake as well as attractions like Fort William Henry. Lodging options here include popular chain hotels and motels, privately owned establishments including B&Bs, cabins, campgrounds, and Lake George resorts, where guests can enjoy the ultimate in luxury. Many offer breathtaking views of the lake and include amenities such as a pool, tennis courts, fitness centers, and more.

Old Forge

Old Forge in the Southwestern section of the Adirondacks is decidedly different from either Lake George or Lake Placid and, hence, Old Forge lodging seems to take on a different character as well. The accommodations here seem a bit more rustic but still range from simple motels and cabins to resorts that offer a host of amenities. Many have views of beautiful 4th Lake or the mountains, and this stunning scenery produces beautiful photos of the area. Others are just a short distance from McCauley Mountain Ski Area.

No matter where you travel in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of NY, you’ll find that Adirondacks lodging is warm and welcoming and that many people return again and again, eager to relive their mountain experience.
